Marbella Estepona Benalmadena has forest fire again

A Forest Fire in Marbella Estepona August 25 forced the emergency services to evacuate over 500 people at four residential areas between Estepona Golf and Valle Romano plus a hotel had to be evacuated, while traffic along the A-7 at km-152 sign was turned off. (Valle Romano, west of Estepona, was one of the residential areas had to be evacuated).


Forest fire broke out at 13 o’clock between Estepona Golf and Valle Romano. Although it was under control after a few hours the fire flames reached several houses and the coast road A-7 was shut down in both directions. Traffic was led instead of using toll highway. At midnight had fire fight the fire under control and traffic could be restored on Highway A-7.
The flames harvested about six acres and three properties, according to media reports from the burns and the cause of the fire was initially unclear.


Fireworks caused forest fire in Benalmadena
There were fireworks in the Feria de Benalmádena Pueblo caused the forest fire that broke out shortly after midnight on Thursday 22 August. The fireworks were part of the festivities as a conclusion of the celebration of the Virgin Virgen de la Cruz.
